The Product Exchange and the Cooperative Union of Serbia signed a cooperation agreement

Director of Produktna berza, Miloš Janjić, has signed a cooperation agreement with the president of the Cooperation Union of Serbia, Nikola Mihailović.

Produktna berza, as the unique commodity exchange in Serbia, has a goal to help cooperatives in the process of selling commodities that are quoted on the commodity exchange. Signing this cooperation agreement, Produktna berza provides cooperatives, especially members of the Cooperative Union of Serbia, greater benefits for unhindered and transparent trade in agricultural products and thus supports the cooperatives strengthening in our country.

On this occasion, the director of Produktna berza said: “As one of the basic goals in the agricultural sector, Produktna berza sees that the primary production, i.e. its organization in Serbia, must be raised to a significantly higher level. As the best organization type in the whole world, we recognize cooperatives and a united performance of small and medium producers. Produktna berza wants to make a small contribution to be incentive by improving the quality of cooperation between the cooperative sector and Produktna berza itself, and one of the specific incentives is to provide cooperatives with certain benefits when joining Produktna berza. By signing the Agreement with the Cooperative Union of Serbia, we want to help their members get a safe way to market their products and at the same time receive information about the situation and market trends.”

The signed agreement will improve relations on the market of agricultural products, by creating a stimulating business environment. Cooperatives, which are members of the Cooperative Union of Serbia, will be able to trade through Produktna berza in the amount of 0,1% of turnover and reduce the amount of membership fees on an annual basis of 50%.

The product exchange has been building successful business cooperation with cooperatives for years, and due to the important role they play in trading, as well as the role of the Cooperative Union of Serbia, this cooperation is expected to take on a completely new form.
